Hello, I’m Hannah!
I`m a dedicated and highly experienced CELTA-Qualified EFL Teacher, English Literature and Language Teacher, Proofreader and Editor with over 8 years` experience. I have a First-Class BA, and MA in English Literature plus my CELTA Qualification with a Pass A.
I work in an international school in Bucharest as a High School Principal, Language and Literature Teacher.
I teach and have taught ages 4 – 50+, levels from Beginner to Advanced, children learning to read and write, to SATs, GCSEs, National 5, A-Levels as well as degree help and essay writing skills. In addition, I have experience teaching across a breadth of needs, including SEN.
From flashcards to worksheets, I create bespoke resources that are tailor-made to the individual and their needs. I believe that learning should be fun and engaging, as much as I aim to help through teaching, I aim to build confidence through repetitive exercises, comprehension and spoken practice.

MY APPROACH:
It’s all about you!
You are the director of your tuition. While following the curriculum/exam board is paramount, getting where you want to be starts by meeting you where you are.
I strongly encourage students to be self-reflective and think about what areas they find most challenging. This is helpful in determining how to structure the exam and lesson content in a direction that is going to challenge and strengthen the target areas.
Most of all, I want my students to thrive and leave class knowing or feeling confident about something new.
Finally, I think it`s important to say I love what I do, so if you want enthusiastic teaching, engaging and professional lessons, please express your interest.

Experience: I have been an English Tutor and EFL Teacher for over 8 years. I have taught over 250 students across a breadth of levels, ages, nationalities and needs.
I have a BA in English Literature with Creative Writing (First-Class), as well as an MA in Literature from the University of York. I would identify my specialisms as English Literature (all curriculums) and EFL (all levels and ages).
Furthermore, I am a CELTA-qualified EFL teacher (Pass A). In addition, I have worked in one of the UK’s leading EFL schools as a Teacher.
I believe part of being a great teacher is being an avid learner, so I am also learning languages: Spanish (B2).

Our daughter, through illness, has missed 8 months of Y11 and it is questionable how much of Y10 she has retained. We got in touch with Hannah to help her bridge the gap and we are in awe to the capactity that she helps. Her lessons are always interesting, thought-provoking and enable our daughter to challenge herself. She allows her to contact her out of session time with questions or feedback on pieces of work - which is invaluable in building up her confidence. Thank you for everything that you do!
