Information about Mirjam
Hi! I am an experienced and fully qualified teacher of French and German. I am a native speaker of both French and German as I grew up in France but spoke German at home and went on to study languages at university before deciding to make England my home. I am mother to three (bilingual) children. I am warm, approachable, patient and flexible as l always adapt my teaching style to best suit individual learners.
Availability: I am available both during the day 9:30am -2:30pm and in the evenings 6:30-9pm.
Willing to travel: 8 miles
Experience: I have over 10 years of experience as l taught languages (mainly French and German but also some Spanish) to 11-17 year olds in local Grammar Schools. I have tutored students of all ages and abilities, both for conversation and in preparation for exams. I also have some experience in teaching English as a foreign language.

I am really enjoying my one to one sessions with Mirjam. She is tailoring the lessons to suit my request as an older person to learn more conversational German. Mirjam is very a friendly and patient tutor.

Mirjam is a very nice lady with a good manner for teaching. My son has found his lessons to be extremely beneficial, especially the tips that Mirjam has given him with regards on how to obtain more marks in an exam. This is where her experience of having worked in a local grammar school comes in. Very happy!!!!
