I`m a cheerful and enthusiastic tutor! I have been working as a GCSE Mathematics tutor for seven years, very successfully. I am always thrilled to see students achieving results they didn`t think possible.

I live on the Shropshire/Wales border so I am familiar with both the English and Welsh specifications and examinations. I`ve tutored students for both AQA and WJEC (Mathematics and Numeracy)

I like to help students develop confidence in their mathematical ability to solve the wide variety of questions they are presented with at GCSE.

I take great pleasure in my teaching and find that my students can also get quite excited when they finally understand something that had always confused them!

Availability: Monday to Friday, 4pm -7pm.

Experience: I taught KS3 and GCSE Mathematics for ten academic years in Secondary Schools in Shropshire and Powys, between 2003 and 2012.
During that time I completed, independently, two Open University Level 1 courses:
MU120 Open Mathematics (2010) and MST121 Using Mathematics (2011).
I also did a considerable amount of in-service training in professional studies as a teacher.
I`ve been happily tutoring students in Mathematics, at home, for over seven years now!
I keep up-to-date by following the releases published by the examining boards, by studying the latest examination papers and by using the same software that students are currently using at school.
