I am a newly qualified secondary school teacher from Queen`s University Belfast who specializes in English, Drama and Media Studies. My original BA Honors Degree is in English Literature, with a specialization in poetry. I have been running my own tutoring business now for over five years both in the Belfast area and now the Derry/Londonderry area. Thus far, I have had a 100% pass rate in my students, with some GCSE students achieving A grades when predicted D grades.

The secret to my tutoring success? I work very closely with mark schemes from the examining boards that you/your child will be studying under - this ensures that students aren`t losing out on little marks that could be the difference between a B grade and an A grade. I remain in close contact at all times with parents/guardians of my students to ensure that they are always a part of the learning process - as my tutoring lessons are only one element to success, and students must transfer their learning to their homes in order to achieve their desired grades.

I offer both in-person and online tutoring. My tutoring fees include the student`s own `snazzy` folder specifically for my lessons, any printing/resources that they are given, and any office hours that I spend marking work and sending feedback. The tea and biscuits are free!

Availability: Due to the recent Covid-19 pandemic, I am available each day of the week for online tutoring. However, during normal term time, I will be available after 4pm Monday-Friday.

Experience: I have extensive experience in specifically teaching GCSE and A-Level English Literature and English Language - however, my knowledge stems across all age ranges and examination boards. I have taught CCEA, AQA and WJEC (Welsh board). I am well-versed in a variety of novels, poetry anthologies and plays in various examination boards, and have a 100% pass success rate in relation to my tutoring.
