Information about Barbara
I`m a kind and hard working individual, passionate about teaching. I use resources that are bespoke to each student and tailored to their needs.
I am very approachable and students leave my lessons feeling more confident with their maths than they were to start with.
Availability: I am available for lessons week days. The possible slots are 4-5, 5:30-6:30, 7-8.
Different times can potentially be arranged if needed.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have a PGCE and QTS and I`ve had experience as a classroom teacher. This has given me a detailed understanding of the new 9-1 GCSE. I have experience teaching students of different on a 1-2-1 basis. My experience ranges from primary to year 11, but I am also able to teach A-level maths.

Barbara is an excellent tutor. My daughter is 8 and has been finding it hard to retain the many areas of knowledge expected of year 3, so I thought a tutor would help her to gain confidence. Even being a Primary School teacher, I was getting the mum / daughter resistance, so felt a tutor would help my daughter remain focused. I wanted the sessions to be enjoyable and not feel like an extension of school, and I have to say that Barbara bonded really quickly with my daughter and she really looks forward to learning with her. My daughter can be quite shy so finding the right person was really important. She feels proud to be having a maths tutor and really looks forward to seeing Barbara. Having been on the cusp of being `age related` in May, a tutor was a last minute attempt to support my daughter and I`m so pleased I chose Barbara. My daughter achieved `age related` and we will continue to have Barbara`s support next year. My daughter has even said she wishes Barbara could come every day after school! I know Barbara is a little more expensive than other tutors but she is definitely worth the money. We are so pleased with our choice.
