Over the last 15years I have developed a maths tutoring business for underachieving and under confident children, covering KS2,KS3 and KS4/GCSE,I use a combination of online andinteractive maths support for children and young adults who for one reason or another find maths difficult.
My approach to learning is to build up the pupil’s confidence by getting them to believe they are capable of improving and increase their enjoyment towards maths.
In my experience working with many students in a supportive, relaxed and friendly atmosphere on a one to one basis is completely the opposite to the classroom environment and can produce some amazing results.
Students often find it difficult due to peer pressure to question when struggling to understand a particular topic.On a one to one basis this is easily overcome and it does result in significant improvements in their attainment.
I have the experience and skill to help pupils make speedy progress towards achieving their goals. I work from home or at the pupils home and on-line.
My aim is to improve on the students predicted grade and for them to go away with a sense of achievement.
Availability: Monday - Friday AM/PM
Saturday AM

Experience: BSc (Hons) Maths with over 15 Years experience tutoring many students with varied ability at KS2,KS3
and KS4/GCSE with very positive results.

Amazing experience with Gary! I started this experience with very little confidence in maths and have finished with a pass in my Maths GCSE! I’ve loved my lessons with Gary never missed one and always on time and extra effort put into supporting me the whole way through I can’t thank him enough for helping me achieve this

Gary has a very wide range of knowledge in many mathematical subjects and also teaches easier methods to solve mathematical problems for certain mathematical subjects which are a lot easier to remember, compared to the ones taught at school. He also helps out with homework from school which is very helpful, Gary also has a lot of worksheets for the lesson, homework, and for practice on hand. He is very patient, even when I make careless mistakes, and gives good advice on how to avoid making careless mistakes and also advice on how to remember the steps which are necessary to solve an equation. Overall Gary checks all the boxes for what I need help within math and also what I look for in a tutor which is why I would recommend him to all my friends if they were ever in need of help with math and I`m confident that choosing Gary will have a positive impact on you as well.
