An experienced kind and patient music teacher with over 25 years experience, teaching throughout the South of England. I spent the last 3 years as Head of Music at a prep school as well as being a peripatetic instrumental teacher for Hampshire County. I am an Honorary Fellow of the North of England school of Music as well has having a postgraduate diploma and Honours degree. I am a mother of 5 *grown up now* so patience and understanding how to fit in practise around busy lives is something I have. I teach children and adults and my lessons are organised to suit the needs of the individuals. I do enter people for the Associated Board exams but that is not compulsory. I do advise having a one off lesson with me to begin with before making a regular commitment to buying an instrument and I am happy to offer advice on that.
I teach piano, violin, viola, cello, flute, recorder, clarinet, sax up to grade 8 standard and trumpet up to grade 5. I am also the founder of Plymouth Beginners Orchestra which brought me many hours of great joy. Thank you for reading .
