Information about Sophie
Hello/bonjour!
I am a qualified Modern Foreign Languages teacher with experience supporting learners of all ages and abilities to make excellent progress and achieve their best in French. I have a BA in Philosophy and French from the University of Oxford, and a PGCE from University College London. I have taught for several years at both secondary and primary level in schools across London and Cambridge. I also have significant experience working with children and young people with additional needs, such as those on the autistic spectrum.
Every student is an individual with their own strengths, needs and goals. I believe that students learn best when they can be themselves and have a go without fear of making mistakes. My teaching approach is positive and personalised, empowering students to take an active role in their learning, so that they leave each lesson feeling confident and motivated. I think it`s really important for both teacher and learner to know what they`re aiming for and how to get there. I help students to set clear objectives and check in with their progress regularly to ensure they`re on track for success.
If this sounds like a good fit for you or your child, do get in touch to arrange a first session.
