Information about Abby
I am a 33 year old qualified maths teacher and Mum of two. I have a 2.1 Mathematics degree BSc (Hons) from the University of York and PGCE in Mathematics Education. I have been teaching for the last 11 years.
I have experience teaching and one-to-one tutoring across KS3, KS4 and KS5 at all abilities. I have a great deal of experience teaching to the Edexcel GCSE specification but have also taught the OCR and AQA GCSE specifications as well as GCSE functional skills. At A-Level I have experience teaching the AQA specifications.
I have a particular passion for teaching students with Special Educational Needs partly due to having dyslexia myself.
I adopt a methodical clear teaching approach. I believe it is vital to structure the difficulty of questions carefully to ensure students gain confidence in mathematics.
