I am a qualified, approachable and professional teacher with experience in both schools and 1-1 tutoring.

I am friendly, patient and I believe in building a student`s confidence to help them achieve their potential.

I mark the GCSE & A level exams for two examination boards and I write the mark schemes and lead a team of 70 examiners for one board.

Ellie really helps you understand the course content and answers all the questions you have. She provides you with so much help in the way of past papers and detailed specifications. Ellie has been absolutely invaluable to my daughters GCSE Chemistry and in Lucy`s words "It was like someone had switched the light on". Monday - Friday 8.30am- 4.00pm
I teach home educated students, sixth formers with free periods and international students with different time zones.

Monday - Friday 4.00-9.00pm, Saturdays and Sundays all day
I teach Key Stage 3 students, GCSE students and sixth-formers without free periods.

Experience: For the last nineteen years I have taught:

- Chemistry to Key Stage 3, GCSE, BTEC and A Level and the IB (in a secondary school environment)
- Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Combined Science) to Key Stage 3 and GCSE.
- A range of examination boards, including AQA, OCR, Edexcel, Cambridge IB and also the IGCSE qualification
- In both a comprehensive and an independent school
- One-to-one private tutoring sessions to secondary students finding Science a challenge
- One-to-one private tutoring sessions to students needing to achieve the highest A Level & IB grades for entry into Medicine and Oxbridge

As well as teaching and private tutoring I also work as an Senior Examiner so I have an additional insight into exam preparation and marking.
