I am a chirpy, experienced teacher who is passionate about reading, writing and the media industry. I have a background in English Literature, gaining an Upper Second Class BA Hons (2.1) degree from the University of Salford and a PGCE in English and Drama from Exeter University.

I have both practical and creative approaches to teaching and enable a whole range of learners to access different aspects of the English and Media curriculums. I have a good background in nurturing from all aspects of the social and educational spectrum. I also love to keep up to date with what young leaners are reading as this can encourage many students.

Availability: At present I can offer weekends and evenings after 8 pm.

Experience: ave been teaching for seven years in a variety of schools from a tough Academy in Inner City London, to my current school which is leafy comprehensive in Hertfordshire. I have been teaching at my current school for 4 years and have a good and consistent pass record for a wide range of abilities. I have experience teaching both the academically gifted and talented and those who are less able in English, as well as EAL students. I have a strong knowledge of EdExcel, WJEC and AQA exam boards.
