Information about Yasmin

Having recently completed Masters in Victorian Studies, I am a conscientious and ambitious individual looking to gain more professional experiencing in tutoring (particularly English Literature). My long term goals are to study for a PhD in Literature and develop a career in academic research and teaching.

I have a passion for English Literature and the Humanities, both studying and tutoring it. I love to get students interested in the subject (as I find that lots of students are put off by the way it is taught in schools) and, if they are already enjoying the subject, then I take pride in being able to guide them towards responding well to the subject academically. Essay writing and exam technique are usually the main focuses of my tuitions, even if the student is not yet taking any assessments - proper technique can only be learned gradually and refined over time. I don`t want students to think of exams and essays as separate concepts from learning the subject itself; learning how to express oneself through a written piece of work should go hand in hand with going over subject material.

Came for 2 lessons, then sends me a text message stating she already has too much work and will only commit to her current regular students. She left my son in the lurch, without a back up 5 weeks away from GCSE Mock exams. One good piece of advice: RUN AWAY from this tutor, and find someone reliable. I have reported Yasmin to Tutorhunt. This woman should not be allowed to tout for more business, as she is busy enough. AND, she is going back to Uni in October 2020 to do an English PHD, so whoever she gets now as tutees will be let down. Parents BEWARE and run away from this woman !!!!!!
