Information about Sean
I am a PhD student in the Earth Sciences department at the University of Cambridge. My research focuses on billion-year old mud! My undergraduate and Master`s degrees are in the Natural Sciences. I teach undergrads in small groups, in practical demonstrations and in the field here at Cambridge. Outside my teaching I`m an avid hillwalker and cyclist and I`m a former president of the science communication society at Cambridge.
Availability: I am fully flexible for online tutoring. In person tutoring can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
Willing to travel: 50 miles
Experience: I have experience tutoring students across multiple subjects at GCSE and A-Level. At Cambridge, I supervise Earth Sciences for undergraduates (teaching groups of 1-2 students for an hour and setting work each week). I am also a lab demonstrator (help out in practical sessions), and teach regularly on field trips. This totals to around 430 hours taught.
