I am able to offer online lessons due to the current situation. This has proved invaluable to all my students and most of them have decided that this is the way forward. I only do 1 to 1 and not groups so I tailor the lesson and talk to the student throughout, asking questions ensuring that they understand. This enables me to go at a pace to suit them. I set homework and aim to support their school learning, looking ahead at the school`s curriculum and schemes of work.
Over 25 years secondary and some primary teaching experience and I still love it. My moto is ‘Making Maths Make Sense’.
I am a fully qualified CRB checked maths teacher and am willing to tutor from 11+ all the way through secondary, GCSE (including the latest 9-1 specification) and entrance exams.
I have a passion for tutoring and believe that every child learns in their own way. Therefore I use a variety of teaching strategies depending on the student and I’m proud of my results.
My best GCSE class achieved amazing results, in a non-selective school. This is the best set of results that the school had ever had!
