Amanda

I graduated in political science but have spent most of my life working as a professional English language teacher and pronunciation coach. I also teach English Literature, edit academic papers and assist non-native university students with their university studies. I have lived and worked all over Europe and enjoy working with people from different backgrounds and cultures. I have a passion for language and for teaching. I am widely travelled (Africa, Middle East, and Europe) and am a fluent speaker of Italian. I enjoy reading, writing, cooking and walking in my free time.

Experience: I have over 20 years` teaching experience and have taught all levels, ages and abilities. I am able to identify individual language needs and design tailor made courses and materials to help students progress towards achieving their desired objectives. I take a communicative approach to English language teaching and transmit my knowledge with enthusiasm. I endeavour to create a positive learning environment for my students, setting realistic goals and expectations. I have successfully prepared students for a range of exams, including KET, PET, FCE, CAE, Proficiency and IELTS.
