Information about Eleanor
I am a first class maths graduate who is now working in Accountancy. However at 24 the worries and pressures of doing well at GCSE/A Level are not too much in my distant past.
As someone who didn`t always grasp mathematical concepts quickly at school I pride myself on being able to tutor in a way that appreciates that every individual learns at a different pace and through a variation of methods. I know all too well that the classroom can often be an intimidating place when something isn`t quite clear in your head and so feel my easy going nature and fairly informal sessions immediately make students feel at ease to make mistakes or ask those silly questions.
I myself had a tutor which not only helped with my knowledge base but most importantly gave me the confidence in my own ability. With this boost my passion for mathematics grew into pursuing the subject at University and going on to achieve a first class degree - something my 16 year old self would never have imagined!
Availability: Weekday evening after 6pm
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: Having only been available for short periods during University I have mainly tutored friends of friends up to GCSE and A Level helping them to achieve that grade they wanted or just that pass they needed! When I moved home to Cheltenham I then managed to tutor locally helping more than 10 students achieve the grades they were capable of!
I have just recently relocated to the North West and so I hope to continure to pass on my passion for this subject through sharing my experience and knowledge gained from getting successfully through my Mathematics GCSE, A Level and then degree!
