Information about Russell
I have a calm, patient tutoring style that gets the best out of the students I work with. I tailor my lessons to the specific needs of each student.
I have a wealth of experience of teaching at secondary level and OFSTED have praised my teaching as exceptional on a one-one level. My teaching has always been rated as "Good" by OFSTED reviews. My most recent performance review rated my teaching as "Outstanding".

Experience: I have 20 years teaching GCSE, A-level, BTEC Business Studies and ICT. I have previously been a Head of Department in 2 schools. I have taught a wide range of abilities in schools across Sussex, Surrey and London. I have a BA degree in Business Studies and a PGCE in Business Education.
I have extensive experience of tutoring on a one-one level and have achieved excellent feedback from students I have tutored. I have tutored students from both state schools and also leading independent schools, securing improved grades in all cases.
I have secured vastly improved outcomes for all of the students I have tutored including moving some students from U grades to A grades overall. I have typically moved most students at least two grades overall from their starting point. I have extensive experience of working with students at all ability levels across GCSE and A level.
I have also been an AAT Tutor for levels 2 & 3 (Diploma in Accounting) as well as holding a level 3 Diploma in Accounting.

Russell provided tutoring to my daughter for GCSE business. He is great at building her confidence and providing practical tips on how to answer the longer questions. His methods of explaining are very clear and understandable. I would recommend him to anyone wanting some extra help with business studies.

Russell did a few sessions with me on the run up to exams and was hugely helpful at answering my many questions! He offered to mark exam papers in-between my sessions and was available to answer message questions as well. Thanks Russell!
