I am very fortunate to have grown up in a bilingual house speaking both German and English. After completing my A levels in England, I went on to study economics at Zurich University and spent several years working in large corporations across Europe before starting my own business. On returning to England in 2014, I decided to change my career path and enter the teaching profession, a decision that was only very positively reinforced after working as a supply teacher for 9 months. I thoroughly enjoyed studying for my PGCE which I successfully completed in maths and business. I now lecture in maths part-time at SGS college, teaching both GCSE and A level maths alongside maths for access courses and enjoy tutoring the rest of the time!

My hourly rates apply to students being taught in my home. The rates are adjusted accordingly when travelling to students homes.

Experience: My approach to tutoring is completely holistic. I firmly believe that with the right approach, teaching methods and the right pace, students of all abilities can achieve their goals. Through tutoring and developing an individual learning plan, I aim to give my pupils the confidence they need to be creative with their learning, to try out new approaches and to improve their attitude to learning all based on the syllabuses and exam boards being used in their schools. I have:

Taught piano from the age of 14
Tutored maths and German since the age of 21
Supply teaching in maths and business since February 2015 in schools across Bristol
Taught maths and business studies to year 7 - year 13 students in two Bristol academies (EdExcel, AQA etc)
Ran tailored, individual maths intervention programmes for SEND students
