Information about Lucy
Hi! I`m Lucy, a third year History student at Oxford University, preparing to begin a Masters in Medieval History at Oxford in 2017. I am currently taking time away from study to work in the field of education. I`m an enthusiastic, conscientious and motivated tutor who is dedicated to working with young people. I obtained 3A*s at A-level, including a Maths A-level which I took one year early. As an academically minded but engaging teacher, I am eager to meet and mentor young students. I love the humanities, learning new languages, and solving mathematical problems, and I hope you will too!
Availability: September-October in person, then on Skype from mid-October onwards
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have spent one month in South Korea teaching English as a second language, which gave me intensive experience in lesson planning and one-to-one work with students. I have also tutored 11-18 year olds in subjects ranging from History, Mathematics, English Literature and Language, Government and Politics, beginners Latin, beginners French, and Religious Studies. In addition, I have a successful record in supporting students with their university applications and interviews.
