Information about Annabel

Hello! I am a UK based Violinist, Pianist and teacher of basic music theory, currently living in Guildford and studying an Undergraduate degree in Music Performance (BMus).

I have played piano since I was 5, and violin from 7 and have been an avid performer ever since, gaining grade 8 distinctions in both instruments and playing in orchestras, being a concerto soloist,
playing in string quartets and quintets and various vocal ensembles.
I am currently working towards performance diplomas. In addition, I participate in many non-academic societies such as Gospel Choir, String Orchestra, Gymnastics, Dance and Jazz Orchestra.
I`d love to share my passion for music and its benefits with you.

Availability: please check my availability timetable for updates.

Willing to travel: 8 miles

Experience: I have helped my peers in music GCSE with any music homework they have and guide them in the right direction with their compositions. I have also taught my 66 year old Dad the violin to Grade 5 standard.

A brief history of musical experiences:
2021: Amadeus Amademy Orchestra (a residential summer orchestral training course for young professionals & music students from across the globe)
Summer of 2019: String Academy summer school at YMS
performed: Haydn`s `Lark` and Beethoven`s `Spring Sonata`.
skills gained: to work in a group and collaborate ideas into a stellar performance.
with an Academy I played also with the Devon & JUTP South West Cameratas and travelled to Edinburgh, twice playing to capacity audiences in St Giles` Cathedral.

Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance: masterclass with Nick Pendlebury (head of the String Department at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance) and Ruth Nye MBE, an Australian pianist and teacher.

2018 - toured Rome with my school`s Chapel Choir and also played violin as the only soloist in some stunning venues, such as St Peter`s Basilica, the Duomo and Chiesa de Santa Maria. This broadened my horizons and heightened my love of travel and sharing music to audiences around the world.

2016 - attended a masterclass at the Yehudi Menuhin School of Music with Ruth Nye:
played Beethoven`s `Piano Sonata No.1 in F minor`
2016 - took my first European tour to Venice with this choir:
sang and played violin in St Mark`s Basilica
