Information about Adanna

Hello, I am a Year 3 Medical Student at Queen`s University Belfast. I previously schooled at Aylesbury High School for Girls.

I feel that understanding is crucial to doing well and having confidence in your subjects.

I am happy to look over what you need in the first lesson and gauge where your understanding is. From there, I can tailor your lessons. We can go over topics, go through questions and summarise information. We can also look at managing time, which I appreciate has been difficult since school has been out for several months.

At A Level, I attained-

Biology – A*
Chemistry – A
Mathematics – A
Geography – A

AS Further Mathematics – A

[and 7A*s and 7As at GCSE Level]

Availability: Contact me and we can discuss times.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: Between 2014-2018, I worked at Kumon Maths and English Tuition. Twice a week, I would help children age 4-18 with their Maths and English. I also marked and kept accurate records of their work.

I completed the Kumon English programme and reached Level L in the maths programme. This means that I am very used to applying what I have learnt to queries posed by students. Additionally, I am well-equipped to communicate complex ideas to young people.

In Year 13, I worked in the SEN (special educational needs) department as a SEN Student Ambassador. I ran a homework drop in clinic every week. I supported students in Years 7-11 with their homework in any subject. I also provided revision preparation sessions for their topic tests. For Year 11 and 12 students, who were preparing for their mock exams, I ran revision strategy sessions.

Currently, in university, I am an academic mentor. I mentor Year 1 medical students through finding suitable study methods and generally giving support for getting through medicine.
