Information about Kat
My name is Kat and I am an English native speaker currently training to be a Speech and Language therapist.
I hope to tutor learners of English looking to improve their fluency and increase their conversational practice. My aim is to make people feel as confident as possible when learning a new language, since it can be a daunting process. Most importantly, I hope to make it a fun and motivating experience!
I will teach people of all ages and all abilities.
Availability: I am available during the week in the Angel, Islington area where I attend City University.
At weekends, I am available in the Surrey area near Coulsdon. I am willing to drive to students within 5 miles.
Please contact me at least two days ahead of your desired session to allow me enough time to work it into my schedule.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: In my training to become a Speech and Language therapist, I work with people who have communication difficulties. These can be as a result of many reasons, such as developmental disorders, brain injury, stroke, and learning disability among many others. As such, I have worked with people of all ages, where it has been essential to be a personable and highly competent communicator and listener.
I have worked in the following settings in an SLT context: mainstream primary and secondary schools, a nursery, a stroke communication group, a community centre for learning disability, a nursing home, hospitals and a rehabilitation centre for brain injury.
