Information about Sujita

Computer Science, Business Studies, GCSE and A Levels Sciences and Geography Tutor
I seek to inspire curiosity and a desire to learn in my students. I teach sciences with an emphasis on how it affects our everyday life. This helps my students to develop a lifelong habit of learning and applying what they have learnt in real life. I always teach within the context of everyday life, from the larger context of society and the individual context. I believe one should learn to educate oneself first and foremost, and the results will follow. I believe the most satisfying thing in teaching is to spark the interest for learning in the minds of students. The joy they experience when they are able to apply their knowledge is a great reward to a teacher.

I did a bachelor`s degree in computer science and engineering, where I learnt engineering physics and chemistry. I learnt the practical application of sciences in engineering, and how electronics is grounded in physics.

Willing to travel: 8 miles

Experience: I started my career as a programmer at a Japanese electronic products manufacturer who is a household name around the word. I then went on to do research in computing for a semi-governmental organisation and progressed to become a team leader in three years. I was then offered a prestigious international scholarship for postgraduate study. I was lucky enough to be able to take this up; I completed by MSc in Computing and went on to do an MBA. My dissertation thesis was in computational biology. Since then I have worked in a variety of roles.

I have taught at various levels from higher secondary to college and university. I have also taught various subjects in science, from chemistry and physics to C programming and microprocessor programming. Throughout my career, regardless of my main job, I have also continuously tutored students part time. One of the main reasons for this is that very few other jobs give me the same sense of satisfaction. I take personal pride in my students’ successes.
