I am an empathetic and communicative tutor, with a number of years experience in structuring development of teenagers` abilities with a long term goal in mind. I provide a relaxed and approachable environment in which the tutee can thrive. With my children now approaching their late teens and early twenties, the family have welcomed a furry friend in the form of a dog, and becoming a tutor has allowed me a more relaxed pace of life.

Experience: I have taught Maths to GCSE and A Level for several years in both state and independent schools, latterly as Head of Maths at a local private school. With a degree in Mathematical Physics from the University of Birmingham, I began my post graduate career as a development engineer, moving into the avionics industry before retraining as a Maths teacher. Throughout my teaching career, my students have thrived under my tutelage regardless of initial ability, and many have attained grades higher than originally predicted.
