I`m Jonathan, a 25 year old university graduate with a true passion for mathematics and languages. I have been tutoring for 5 years now, having helped over 20 students from Primary to University Level excel at their studies.

My approach focuses on two main areas: confidence and mastery.
- Confidence is often the main barrier to success for many students. While their capabilities may allow them to do well, a lack of confidence will often mean they struggle to achieve the grades they want. I make this a central theme of my sessions by creating a comfortable learning environment and by focussing on developing core skills. This has helped many students improve their confidence around the whole syllabus, and this is why my students have attained, or exceeded their predicted grades.
- Mastery is key. In classrooms the pace is often hard to keep up with and students have to move on to more complex topics without fully understanding the core material. This leads to issues at a later stage of the curriculum and further impacts student`s confidence. In my sessions I foster an environment where students are both comfortable and where we tackle the core principles of any topic. This mastery of content will then extend on to other areas and will help my students do well in their exams.

Experience: I and have extensive experience in 1-on-1 tutoring, and have classroom experience teaching German and Maths to year 11 students at two local schools. My undergraduate degree is in Business & Management, and I have A-Level equivalents in Maths, Economics, German, and Spanish. I would love to tutor anyone who needs help with these subjects.
