When planning lessons, I carefully consider each student’s individual needs, strengths, and goals. Experience: I am an experienced and passionate teacher currently working in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school, with a strong background in mainstream education as well. Over the years, I have developed a deep understanding of how to support learners with a wide range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

My experience in both mainstream and SEN settings allows me to tailor my teaching to suit each student’s unique learning style. I believe that every learner has the potential to succeed when given the right support, structure, and encouragement. I use a patient, flexible, and person-centred approach, focusing on building confidence, motivation, and independence.

Working in SEN has strengthened my ability to differentiate lessons effectively, break down complex concepts into manageable steps, and use creative strategies to make learning engaging and accessible. These skills also benefit students in mainstream education who may need extra help, reassurance, or a more personalised approach to reach their full potential.

Ultimately, my goal as a tutor is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel understood, valued, and empowered to make progress at their own pace.
