I am a qualified Maths teacher, currently teaching in a mixed secondary school in Maidstone. I have been teaching Maths for 7 years and in the last few, taken up the additional role of SENCo. As such, I feel that I am sensitive to the challenges and barriers to learning that students with SEN experience.

I have taught and continue to teach across KS3, KS4 and KS5 and have experience of tutoring students both in person and online.

My approach is flexible, with some students needing a highly structured individual learning plan and others more able to self-direct their learning, whether they require practice for exams or to improve their understanding of the Maths curriculum. I aim to boost the confidence of the young people I teach and help them realise that they really can do Maths. I believe that children learn best and flourish when at their happiest and as a teacher, I have always worked hard to ensure students are happy within my classroom / learning environment and have a safe and happy place to learn.

Experience: My education and training include an upper-second class honours degree in Mathematics (University of Kent), PGCE (Canterbury Christ Church University) and National Award for SEN Coordination (Canterbury Christ Church University).

I teach all level of Mathematics, from GCSE to A-Level Mathematics for any exam board with any module, although I teach Edexcel in my school.
