I am a patient, friendly and approachable science Tutor, specialising in KS3 and GCSE science, as well as A Level Biology.

I hold a degree in Biomedical Science and have worked in a range of Blood Science and Biochemistry laboratories. This real-world experience allows me to explain complex scientific concepts in a clear, practical and relatable way. My tutoring style not only relies on textbooks, but also real-life application.

I have over 10 years of experience supporting students through tutoring and mentoring, including working with GCSE, A Level and undergraduate students. I have also supported learners across multiple tutoring platforms and have experience adapting my teaching style to suit different learning needs and abilities.

My approach is focused on building a strong foundation, improving confidence and helping students genuinely understand the subject, rather than just memorising content. I aim to create a relaxed and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.

I also have experience working within higher education environments, including supporting academic teams within a globally ranked university, which has further strengthened my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively.

Experience: I have experience tutoring GCSE science, 11+, and A Level Biology, supporting students at different stages of their academic journey.

In addition, I have mentored Year 1 undergraduate students during my final year studying Biomedical Science at Middlesex University. This experience gave me valuable insight into the expectations of higher education and the level of understanding required for students progressing into university-level science.

Alongside my tutoring, I have worked within laboratory and higher education environments, which has strengthened my ability to explain scientific concepts clearly and in context.

This allows me to not only support students with their current studies, but also help prepare them for the next stage, whether that’s moving into GCSEs, A Levels, or university.
