I am a qualified, DBS checked secondary school English teacher with 15 years` experience including as Head of Department and Assistant Headteacher for Teaching and Learning.

I offer tuition at all levels: KS2-5, 11+, A-Level and undergraduate. I charge £40 an hour. Lessons are planned to cater for the specific needs of the pupil and can focus on, for example, achieving grade 4/5 (new C equivalent) at GCSE; improving spelling and punctuation; or academic literacy and essay writing for any subject.

I have extensive experience of working with pupils with SEN and as an examiner for A-Level English Language.

Experience: 15 years as a secondary school English teacher. Successes as a tutor include tutoring for 11 plus (e.g. QE Boys and Haberdashers) and in securing GCSE C for pupil predicted F. I have also taught many very able pupils who have secured A* at GCSE and A-Level including successful Oxbridge applicants.
