Information about Sean
I have a first class degree and PhD in mathematics and am tremendously enthusiastic about the subject. I love helping others to understand more and make mathematics accessible to everyone. I spend most of my free time with my family – trying to keep my young son entertained!
Availability: I`m generally available Mondays - Fridays (mornings, afternoons and evenings). However I`m very booked up at the moment and have very limited availability - but it`s quite possible some times will become available soon.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have worked as a teacher for over ten years in a sixth form college. This has given me huge experience in how to help students achieve their potential.
I have taught of a wide variety of mathematics courses, to students of all levels of ability.
Over the last decade I have helped a great many students through GCSE maths. I have successfully aided many students, helping them get the grade they need to progress to A-levels, apprenticeships or work.
I have extensive experience teaching A level Maths and Further Maths – many of my students have gone on to Oxford, Cambridge and other top universities to study mathematics and related subjects. This has involved preparing candidates for university entrance exams and STEP papers.

Just had first lesson. We were delayed from last week due to horrendous problems with Internet connection but Sean could not have been more understanding. After just 1 hour today, daughter was smiling.... That`s never happened after a maths lesson. She has really struggled with Yr 12 A level, but came away saying she absolutely understood the topic they covered and I think Sean will no doubt help her achieve what she needs by the end of Yr 13.

Sean has been brilliant with my son as he nears his A Level Maths exams. He is very approachable and friendly and my son tells me he really knows his stuff! It has been a huge relief having Sean able to support at this crucial time, and my son has benefitted from having someone who is able to help him both generally in the run up to exams and also around specific areas he has struggled to understand. Sean has been patient and kind and has helped my son become more confident in his Maths abilities at a time he was losing some confidence.

My daughter who is in year 13 needed help with A Level Maths as she was struggling with the curriculum. We weren`t too sure about starting online lessons but thought of giving it a try with Sean, and I`m so glad we did. Sean is an amazing and an exceptional teacher. Sean has shown immense patience and understanding, adapting his teaching to meet my daughter`s pace. Always checking her understanding at every step. My daughter feels really comfortable with Sean. I highly recommend Sean for maths tutoring.
