I have extensive experience in an OFSTED outstanding 11-18 High School in Greater Manchester as both a school leader (Assistant Headteacher and Director of Sixth Form) and as a teacher of Economics and Business Studies. I am proud of the achievements of my Economics and Business students, who have consistently performed above expectations. I have a deep and clear understanding of the requirements of A level examinations and specialise in motivating and building confidence in young people, and developing successful exam technique and revision programmes. I care deeply about my students and would consider myself to be passionate about my subject, enthusiastic, always approachable, friendly and reliable.

Experience: I have been a teacher in secondary schools for 35 years. Initially a Head of Business and Economics Education I subsequently became Assistant Headteacher in an OFSTED outstanding high school. I was privileged to be Director of Sixth Form until I retired in 2019. I have also helped many young people with their UCAS and Apprenticeship applications, and with interview preparation, including my own children who have all recently gone through the sixth form and University experience.
