Fully qualified, 20+ years experienced science teacher. Trained at Loughborough University in all specialisms; I can identify weaknesses across all areas of the curriculum. Exam board registered with assessment training. Qualifications: PGCE & QTS Biology, Chemistry and Physics. A vast knowledge of teaching students with an extremely wide range of needs. I have been teaching secondary students for 24 years in colleges, both mainstream and in the independent sector. Tutoring 1:1 for 9 years with a large number of references and reviews that confirm the positive impact on improving student`s grades and confidence. Graduated from Loughborough University in 2000 after completing a Bachelor of Science, and Post Graduate degree in Science Education. I work for Leicestershire County Council. In the past, I was responsible for professional development and leadership of teachers across Leicestershire. I build trust and confidence, which in turn allows young people to develop and obtain the results that they deserve. I have a wide experience marking examinations and provide notes specifically to support different exam boards (AQA, OCR, Edexcel ISEB). I have been delivering practical investigations for many many years and help young people to analyse these practicals which are now a significant component of the exam board specification.
