My name is Mari;; I am married, mother to three grown children, Spanish and I cannot wait to be your tutor!
I am extroverted and fun but just as responsible. I find great joy in helping others as I consider that humankind should be able to live in respect and tolerance, even when we do not always share other’s opinions.
As a mom, secular learning has always been very important for me, but the moral compass and values I wanted to instil in my children even more. I have always helped my children with their school work, I was their personal tutor. My eldest son is a computer technician, my middle girl is currently studying History & Politics at university and my youngest son just finished college, he is currently serving a mission in Brazil! They did great at school, but really, we focused more on teaching them their value and how much they could be of help to society.

Availability: I have worked with children from three years old to teenagers and adults. I devotedly prepare each single lesson to ensure the student learns efficiently. I give them the opportunity to express themselves and to understand they are the heart of the lesson. I love it when they share their abilities and knowledge with me! There is always so much to learn from each student!
Since I never enjoyed being the recipient of boring or tedious classes I spend much time preparing each one of my classes to tailor the student and help him or her remain engaged.
In my lessons you will be able to find visual aids, games, mind maps,etc. These are prepared according to the needs of each student or group. I always bear in mind the age and number of students I will have, so that be it a group of ten years old or one single 17 years old student I put forth what would best suit them and help them learn.

Experience: I have more than 25 years of experience in teaching. I have taught religion primarily but have also led special workshops in and out of schools, facilitated after school English classes in a small rural school in Spain, served in the capacity of a youth counsellor various times and organised school and university trips amongst which my favourite would visiting Belchites, a site of monumental historical importance in Spain.
I have experience teaching both large groups and single individuals, and it is my ethos that the teacher must reach to all students within their individual capabilities. I firmly believe that a student must always leave the lesson with the desire to return, as the teacher must be an inspiration and help to the student.
