I have spent my career teaching maths, so I`m obviously passionate about it! I believe in building cоnfidence by first identifying аnd repаiring misunderstаndings аnd gаps in knоwledge tо increаse success. Once the foundations are sound, progress can be very rapid, satisfying and fun. Having taught full time for many years, I am now combining freelance work, tutoring, family commitments and getting out and about in the Surrey countryside.

Everyone can improve their skills in mathematics - it just takes determination, and some help from someone like me to point you in the right direction.

Availability: Day time and some evenings and weekends.

Experience: I have over 30 years experience of teaching Mathematics and Further Mathematics at KS3, GCSE, Additional Maths, AS and A Level in state and independent secondary schools in Surrey, including a period advising other maths teachers. Until 2012, I was Head of Mathematics at a leading school in Surrey, a post I held for 18 years. I am familiar with Common Entrance papers and Entrance Examination requirements for local schools, and my students` results have always been very good.

Particular specialisms are GCSE Higher and AS/A Level Pure and Further Pure, Mechanics and Statistics.

For many years, I have also supported students making their UCAS applications, including preparation for BMAT and UKCAT.
