I am a 29 year old English and American literature graduate with 10 years of teaching experience. I approach teaching with enthusiasm and zest. Whether it`s a passage from a book, a poem or a period of history I make students feel immersed and empowered by their learning. Since covid-19 students and parents say they are struggling with a lack of structure. My lessons create a safe and encouraging space for my pupils to rediscover a love of learning, exploring new ideas and reigniting their excitement around their favourite topics and subjects.

Experience: I have over 10 years of teaching experience in a voluntary capacity. I lived in Berlin for 5 years where I taught a group of Syrian refugees aged 10-18 English and cultural studies for the organisation GSBTB. I am a fluent German speaker. In the UK I volunteer at a school for low-income children in Fakenham in rural Norfolk where I teach reading and writing to 10-14 year olds. I also volunteer at Kensington and Chelsea Library every August as part of the `Kids reading challenge`

In 2009 I graduated from Bedales School in Hampshire with 3 A grade A levels in English, Classics and Drama. Following this I went to University of Sussex and left with a 2.1 in American Studies, specialising in Literature and History.

I currently am a freelance English teacher across South London with a specialty in English and History.
