Originally from Glasgow, I`ve lived in South Devon since 1986. Now 59 years old, I`m a semi-retired registered mental health nurse, and I live in Torquay with my wife, Rebecca, and three children (Archie 11, Molly 16, Ellie 19). In any spare time that I have I enjoy gardening and also writing. Both of my fantasy adventures, `The Mystery of Cary Park` and `Cockington Magic` continue to do very well!

Experience: As a dual qualified nurse, I`ve worked in both the general and mental health settings over the past 38 years. Throughout this time I have been a teaching assistant in the School of Nursing at Torbay Hospital and have also been a mentor for scores of student nurses. However, my original degree is in Chemistry, and for the past 5 years I`ve been providing 1:1 Chemistry A Level and GCSE tuition - with very good results! Also, for many years I`ve had a keen interest in Spanish and still practice when I can. I would regard myself as fairly fluent with the language and would feel confident in working with adult learners and also with GCSE students.
