Information about Benjamin

I have recently graduated with a degree in Arabic and Politics.

My main service is languages. I studied Modern Standard Arabic at university for four years, gaining a 2:1. This also included a year in Morocco, and some time on language courses in Israel and Jordan.

I also got an A* at A-Level in Spanish and I have been on a number of Spanish Language courses. I also have good conversational French.

Availability: From January:

Experience: Tutoring (2017-18)
Tutoring three students Maths for a company called London’s Learning at Key Stage 2, Pre-GCSE and GCSE level. We have followed the syllabus throughout the process.
I prepare a different topic every week for us to go through, or we work through a textbook on a wide range of topics, such as fractions and decimals.
I have also completed some Arabic tuition, teaching a young boy beginners Arabic.

Work Experience
Arsenal in the Community (2017-18)
Participant on the Arsenal Gap Year Programme. This involves coaching in local schools and coaching abroad on a three-month placement. [contact detail removed]
Provided Coach Education by a UEFA Coach to go and coach in schools, starting in January.
I have gained a Level 1 and Level 2 coaching qualification as well, in addition to gaining First Aid or Safeguarding Badges and a DBS.
I have supplemented this with working for a sporting activities company called Creative Sport, coaching football twice a week.


Volunteering Roles

Youth Movement:
Member of Noam youth group for the last 10 years, participating in charitable events and summer camps in the UK and abroad.
In 2012, 2013 and 2014 I was part of a team responsible for eighty 14-year-old children on a three-week residential camp. We devised and implemented educational and social programmes
In 2015 I was in charge of the kitchen for over 500 people, which included ordering the food, making a work rota and planning the meals for 3 weeks.
Duke of Edinburgh:
- Completed the Silver award
- This included weekly volunteering at an Asylum Seekers Drop-in Centre for six months.
Sports Day:
- I have worked at Sports Days at University with disabled children from the local area.
