Information about Nora
Hi, Im Nora, and I specialise in helping students build confidence and improve their exam performance. I have completed my Bachelors in Law, Masters of Law, as well as the Bar Professional Training Course, and I currently work as a County Court Advocate, regularly appearing in courts across England. This means Im used to applying the law in real situations and explaining it in a clear, practical way that students can understand. I focus on the areas that make the biggest difference to result: exam technique, essay structure, and applying legal principles effectively. Many students understand the content but arent sure how to translate that into high-mark answers, so I work closely with them to develop a clear and structured approach. Ive previously tutored at Explore Learning, in a sixth form setting, and privately, and I always adapt sessions to suit the individual student. Whether its building confidence, catching up on topics, or preparing for exams, my aim is to make lessons supportive, focused, and genuinely helpful. I also support students with mock exam preparation and past paper practice to help them feel fully prepared going into exams.

Experience: I adapt my approach based upon each student`s learning style, but with a consistent focus on question comprehension, building understanding and application. My lessons are generally interactive and discussion-based, encouraging students to engage with the material. I help students break down both the legal principles and the facts in a clear, logical way. This is particularly important in law, where success in exams depends not just on knowing the content, but on applying it effectively. A key part of my teaching is exam technique. I work with students on how to approach different types of questions, structure their answers clearly, and develop confident, well-reasoned arguments. Over time, Ive developed practical strategies that help students tackle more complex questions with clarity and precision. Sessions are supportive but focused, with an emphasis on steady progress and building confidence. I also incorporate practice questions and past paper work to ensure students feel fully prepared for exams.
