Information about Sandra
I`m a Swedish woman with teaching experience and training from Sweden. I teach according to the sociocultural perspective, which means I believe we learn best when communicating with other people, and that we can reach beyond our own abilities with the help of that. I have also studied Special Education, which means i am not afraid of taking on students with Learning difficulties, as I am confident i can help them achieve their best. I have mostly worked with 12-16 year olds, but also a bit with younger children. I can teach English as a foreign/second language.
Availability: I`m available most days, some Sundays (usually every other) I`m teaching at the Scottish-Swedish Society`s Swedish lessons and will not be available then.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have worked as a teacher for about 4 years in Sweden. I have been teaching many different subjects, mostly humanities and languages, but also some maths and science. I am currently one of two teacher`s in Swedish for the Swedish School Association in Scotland, Edinburgh.
