Information about Beth
I have 12 years experience teaching in secondary schools, sixth form colleges and with home schooled students. I enjoy using a range of resources to challenge and inspire pupils, hopefully to reinstate/kindle a love of languages in them which will spur them on to progress further. I like our lessons to be a fluid dialogue of feedback and always prepare thoroughly so that each lesson is varied, tailored, fun and will push pupils to achieve their potential.
Availability: Weekday mornings and some afternoons by arrangement.
Teaching either at my house, your house or online.
If teaching at your house, I will charge a £5 travel fee.
I will drive a total of 20 mins each way included in this fee but will charge extra for any further distance and will discuss this with you if applicable.

Experience: I have 12 years experience teaching in both mainstream and private secondary schools and sixth form colleges, teaching both languages from Year 7 to Year 13. I have also given adult conversation classes, tutored individual students including for Oxbridge entry and have lived in Paris and Ecuador.

I have no hesitation in recommending Beth. We feel very fortunate in having found her to teach our Year 10/11 daughters GCSE Spanish. Beth is warm, patient, encouraging, and very able to pitch the lesson at the right level to made it enjoyable and motivational. Beth has also been flexible at slotting in sessions and travelling to our home. Both my daughters really like her, which is an achievement given their reluctance to learning a foreign language.

Beth is an amazing tutor, we are very pleased we found her. She is patient, has brilliant approach (my teenager son is enthusiastic about the lessons) and we have seen a major improvement since we started the lessons. I would highly recommend Beth if you are looking for a tutor.

I`ve been having weekly French lessons with Beth for a few weeks now as one of a small group of adults, and our group are all very pleased with the rapid progress being made. Although not a native speaker Beth seems to have a very comprehensive and intuitive grasp of French and is clearly naturally gifted with languages. Lessons are always fun, and her friendly and patient demeanour ensures that learning is easy and enjoyable. I would recommend her to anyone.
