I am a fully-qualified science teacher offering online tuition during the current pandemic. I have a degree in Physiotherapy, a Masters in education and a PGCE specialising in biology. I have been teaching science for over 10 years and during this time I have been a head of year, a head of department, an examiner for various exam boards and I am now an assistant principal at a successful secondary school. As a result of my vast experience I know exactly what it takes for a student to achieve exam success and I am able to utilise a variety of different teaching styles to deliver difficult concepts to motivate and build confidence in all individual learners.

Availability: I am curently on maternity leave and so I am available for online tuition between 10am and 8pm everyday (except Saturday). I am available from 4pm -8pm on Saturdays. This includes school holidays and most public holidays. Please contact me to discuss my current availability.

Experience: I have worked as a science teacher and a private tutor, teaching all aspects of the science curriculum (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) at Key stage 3 and 4 (including both triple and combined science). I am a biology specialist,  so I am able to teach Biology up to A Level.

I take pride in helping pupils from a wide range of abilities fulfil their potential. I enjoy teaching all students, whether they have an aptitude for science or find science difficult, I am able to deliver high quality lessons together with targeted exam practice to help your child to be a confident successful learner.

My lessons are interactive and engaging. I use powerpoint presentations with animations, videos, demonstrations and exam style questions on the topics you would like me to cover. These can also be used as a revision tool leading up to exams. I provide clear coherent explanations of key concepts and will encourage your child to ask questions throughout the session to ensure that they consolidate their learning
