Hi, I’m Joe — a physics and maths tutor who specialises in supporting students with autism and/or ADHD.

I help my students find the sweet spot between work that’s too easy and work that’s overwhelming, so they can stay engaged, focused, and confident. This often leads them to enjoy learning more, ask thoughtful questions, and even share my passion for the subject.

For the past three years, I’ve been working one-to-one with students, getting to know the exact nature of their challenges and tailoring strategies to support them. While many students face familiar hurdles — like memorising without fully understanding, or rushing and missing details — others have unique needs.

For example, some may feel anxious when tested on a very specific question style, find it hard to link connected ideas, or overestimate how well they understand a topic. Recognising these patterns early helps me adapt lessons so students can learn more effectively and with less stress.

My goal is to make high-quality, affordable tutoring accessible to students with autism and/or ADHD in physics and maths.

- Weekly one-to-one lessons, guiding and supporting a GCSE science student
- My student began with low confidence in science but I addressed her concerns, made her feel more comfortable, and she began to contribute more in class and break down her barriers, and see an overall improvement in science.
