Hello! I`m Molly, a part-time Mathematics tutor with more than 8 years of teaching experience. In my full-time career, I`ve worked as an applied mathematician, working in diverse fields such as aerospace, cell biology, cancer diagnostics, and finance.
Alongside my full-time commitments, I`ve chosen to continue tutoring part-time because I enjoy working with students and seeing them progress.
I offer the flexibility of sessions either online, in my own home, or by traveling to the student`s location.
If you have any questions or want advice please do not hesitate getting in touch - hopefully we can work together to help either you or your child reach success in your/their studies!
Availability: Limited week day availability until June - can offer weekends and ad hoc sessions when have cancellations.
Will be on mat leave 15/8 - 10/9 and unable to offer sessions during this time.

Experience: With over 8 years of part-time experience as a math tutor, my expertise spans various academic levels. I specialize in tutoring GCSE students, but I`ve also successfully worked with A-level, KS3, university students, and adult learners. In addition to mathematics, I offer tutoring in Spanish for GCSE students and beginners pursuing language skills for business purposes.
Beyond tutoring, my experience includes working as an associate lecturer in advanced engineering mathematics, providing academic support to university students requiring extra help, and acting as a support lecturer for Python in biophysics classes. This range of experiences equips me with an understanding of diverse learning needs and enables me to tailor my approach for each student, fostering a positive and effective learning environment.

Prior to contacting Molly, I had a weak foundation in the area of maths and it had been sometime before that I had been properly working and learning about the subject. I went into Higher with very little knowledge of the subject and felt very apprehensive about my abilities. After contacting and having weekly sessions with Molly, I found that my confidence and abilities in maths vastly increased. Her explanation of different areas of the course was backed by her knowledge of maths. She was very patient when I never understood something and went over it in detail to make sure that I had a good grasp. Never would have I ever thought that I could progress through my Higher, but with thanks to Molly it was made possible, and I also found it very enjoyable due to Molly`s relaxed and professional nature.

Molly, came by the day before my son`s exam, afterwards my son informed me that that things were explained in a much better and clearer way than what he has learned in class. we are unsure of what my son`s results are as yet, however we will be requesting Molly`s assistance again. Thank you Molly.
