Hi, my name is Lynn. I am a fully qualified and experienced secondary school teacher and specialist tutor with a strong track record of helping students succeed in SATs, 11+, GCSE English and GCSE German.

I hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a PGCE, and a Cambridge CELTA, alongside a BA and MA in English Literature from a Russell Group University. I also have an enhanced DBS certificate and extensive experience working with pupils across a wide range of abilities.

English Tuition (SATs, 11+ & GCSE)
I support students with:
- Reading comprehension and inference
- Creative and transactional writing
- Grammar, punctuation and spelling
- Exam technique, timing and confidence

For SATs and 11+, I focus on building strong foundations while also teaching pupils how to approach unfamiliar texts and tricky questions calmly and methodically. Lessons are structured, supportive, and designed to boost both skills and confidence.

For GCSE English Language, I provide clear guidance on:
- Understanding exam mark schemes
- Planning effective responses
- Improving analytical writing
- Avoiding common examiner pitfalls

My background as an exam supervisor and speaking interlocutor for Cambridge English, IELTS and OET gives me valuable insight into how exams are assessed - knowledge I actively use to help students maximise marks.

GCSE German Tuition
As a qualified Modern Foreign Languages teacher (German and French), I offer specialist support for GCSE German, including:
- Vocabulary building and grammar clarity
- Listening and reading strategies
- Writing structure and accuracy
- Speaking confidence and exam preparation

Having grown up multilingual in Luxembourg and worked extensively with language learners, I am particularly skilled at explaining grammar clearly and helping students overcome anxiety around speaking and writing.
