My name`s Chris, I`m a graduate of the University of Leicester where I studied biological sciences and received a 2.1. I have been commended on an outstanding dissertation on the subject of regenerating damaged hearts following a heart attack. It has not been very long (relatively speaking!) since I completed my GCSEs and International Baccalaureate (A-Level Equivalent) and as such I am very familiar with the strains that come with developing your knowledge and retaining it in preparation for passing these exams.
I love biology and chemistry, and am interested in the advancement of the sciences in general - I keep up to date with all the exciting developments in biology, chemistry, physics, and technology and would love to help other students improve their ability and confidence so they can feel the same way I do!
I am friendly and very approachable and I believe the best way someone can learn on a 1 to 1 basis is through encouraging teaching in a relaxed environment, where it`s okay to ask questions and make mistakes.
Availability: I am available in the evenings on weekdays and any time on weekends.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I completed 11 GCSEs and achieved all grades A* - A including As in biology, chemistry, and physics.Contact this Tutor
I achieved my International Baccalaureate Diploma with grades A* - A (Biology, Chemistry, French A2 equivalent, Psychology, Maths, English AS equivalent).
I graduated from university in 2017 where I studied biological sciences, specialising in neurobiology and cardiovascular physiology.
I have tutored a number of students in the past of various ages at secondary school level, and have tutored one student at A-level for a period of 6 months. I have always helped my little brother (4 years younger) with his studies - he comes to me when he is having trouble and aiding him is always a fun and rewarding experience. I also regularly help my girlfriend, who is a GCSE and A-Level teacher, plan her lessons. My GCSEs and A-Levels are still fresh in my mind and I understand how the sciences are best learned in order to pass exams.
