I have been an artist all my life and a teacher since 2001. I am a specialist in Fine Art Painting and Drawing, with good subject knowledge of a wide range of styles, techniques, artists and Art History. I can cover any discipline from Still Life to Abstract and offer tips and guidance on influences and methods.
I can teach anybody, anywhere via on-line lessons or travel up to approximately 20 miles in order to deliver private lessons in person, following Covid-19 safety protocols and social distancing regulations.

Experience:
I began my career as a Studio Artist, so have worked in Graphic Design and Advertising, but moved into Teaching in 2001 and have worked in UK schools in England, Jersey and at an international school in Portugal. I have a PGCE in Secondary Education and can teach Key Stages 3 to 5. I have also taught in Primary and Adult Education.
I am familiar with most exam board specifications for England & Wales and can cover GCSE, iGCSE and A-Level Art & Design. I have followed the path of A-level, Foundation Studies in Art & Design and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Art, so can also transfer my skills and experience to some Further or Adult Education at college or university level.
I have trained in or had experience of most other art fields, including Printing, Typography, Sign-Writing, Photography, Ceramics, Sculpture, Technical Drawing, Design Technology, Product Design, Window-Dressing, Display, Exhibiting and some Textiles,
I switched to teaching my classes on-line during the lockdown from March 2020 and I use 2 devices so that you can see exactly what I am doing in my demonstrations.
