Information about Melanie
Hi, I`m a secondary school English teacher, teaching 11-16 year olds. The courses I teach include: English only and English language and Literature. These both follow the AQA specification. My degree is in English Language, so this is my strength.
Availability: Evenings during the week from 4- 8pm and weekends from 10-6pm.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have taught in three different secondary schools in Rochdale, Oldham and Tameside since I qualified as a Teacher of English in 2011.
I also have been an examiner for AQA for three years, marking the old English specification and now have been appointed on the new AQA specification as a Team Leader for English examinations. This experience provides a great insight to how exams are marked and many examples of the different grades available.
