I believe in nursing as a profession and maintaining academic and clinical standards and am happy to walk alongside you and work with you at any stage of your nursing journey, whatever level you are.

I have coached/tutored many students to success at basic and post-basic level and, with a wealth of teaching experience in many different multicultural health care organisations, I am able to help with a variety of nursing subjects.

I have a passion for helping nurses to be the best they can be and find coaching and support to be the best way to help you grow and develop, adapting my approach to your needs, expectations and learning style.

I have a particular love of English and writing and enjoy helping students understand and successfully meet, for themselves, the required learning outcomes of any of their assignments.

I am also a qualified EFL teacher and, using all my skills from my long career in Education and Training, plus the additional EFL Training I have undergone and the experience I have gained, am able to help Adult Learners of all levels with any and all EFL areas that they might need.

Availability: I am available weekdays from 10:00 to 16:00 but these times can be adjusted to suit students and time zones. Evenings and weekends can be organised to suit students.

Experience: I am a Registered Nurse, have a Bachelors in Nursing Education and Nursing Administration, a Diploma in Adult Education and Nursing Education, am enrolled for a Masters in Professional Development at the University of Cumbria and have just successfully completed the Coaching and Mentoring Module, so I understand the demands of academic assignments. I spent 15 years as a Senior Nursing Executive working internationally in a multicultural healthcare environment and have experience in Education and Training, Coaching and Mentoring and developing and implementing individualised development Programmes for all levels of professional nurse, both basic and post basic.

I am also a skilled and experienced EFL teacher for adult learners at all levels, using my Education and Training experience and my Coaching and Mentoring experience to meet the learning needs and the expectations of students.

During my time as a Director of Nursing, I acquired extensive knowledge and experience in Governance, Quality and Patient Safety, have established and managed Nursing Education and Training Services, and was the leader of the Nursing Team that took two hospitals to international Accreditation.

Personal and family challenges led to my decision to return to bedside nursing and I have spent the last five years as a Staff Nurse in the NHS and am well able to appreciate, and help you meet, all the challenges that face nurses today, be these clinical, practical, academic, professional or emotional.
