I was until recently, Head of English at an alternative provision in Blyth, where I teach disengaged 14-16 year olds at risk of exclusion with a range of educational, behavioural and emotional needs. I plan engaging lessons to suit all abilities and have planned schemes of work for all specifications for Language and Literature, including each novel.
I left to become a full time private tutor as this is my preferred teaching style!

Availability: I am available Monday - Saturday 9:00am - 19:30pm

Experience: I have experience tutoring 121 for different abilities as well as teaching the most disenagaged 14-16 year olds in Northumberland, and SEN learners, covering GCSE topics in both Language and Literature and have significant grade increases from my students and successful GCSE results! Learners gave great reviews

I provide all resources, including revision packs and ensure learners have measurable targets throughout our sessions. All resources are tailored to each individual student around their interests but still in line with the curriculum to engage learners!
I will provide assessments, reviews and predicted grades throughout the sessions and can email these after each lesson.
Each student will complete a check-list for each module from their level of study to identify the areas for development. I will then ensure these areas are the focus whilst revising other areas for the exams!
