I am a qualified photography tutor with more than 15 years of experience teaching for a diverse range of schools colleges and adult education authorities. I have expereince of 1 to 1 tutorials on digital photography and can adapt my lessons to suit your needs.

I also have nearly 20 years working as a freelance documentary photographer and my work has won awards and been exhibited in several London Galleries. My passion is street photography and I have run several 1 day workshops for groups and individuals in vibrant Shoreditch. I have extensive experience workshops on manual camera settings. I always encourage my students to express themselves creatively as well as learning the technical aspects of photography.

NCS - The Challenge

I was employed by NCS the Challenge as a Photography practitioner to run three day sessions teaching basic digital photography skills to a team of up to twelve 15 - 17 year olds. The Practitioner also leads two visits to a local community group(including care homes, youth clubs and homeless centres) so that the young people can use the skills they have learnt to interact with the people that they meet. Finally, the Practitioner works with the young people to design and deliver a showcase performance.

I was also employed for 2 months to teach photography to A level students at Addey and Stanhope School in Lewisham, teaching them how to use DSLR cameras, introuding them to different genres of photography and guiding their ideas for there own projects.

I assisted them with online and library based research, gave a series of lectures on different photographic genres and set them a practical assignment to document activities within the College
